How to post

Now, posting on TOC is really simple.

1. Click on the link circled in red below to get to the wordpress control panel.

2. Type in “theonlinecitizen” in the username column and “theonlinecitizen” as the password. If you want to use your own username, please email it to us at theonlinecorpitiam@gmail.com and we will add you as an “author” manually.

3. After you log in, enter the title of your post and its contents in the respective boxes as shown below:

4. Next, tick the category in which your post fall under. If there are no suitable categories, you can add one yourself by clicking on “Add New Category below”.

5. This is the tricky part - to add your photo. Move down till you see “Custom Fields” and click on “image” in the field shown.

6. Type in the URL of your photo in the box as shown. You can obtain a free account to upload your photos to an external server at www.photobucket.com or www.flickr.com. If you are unsure of how to post your photo, just email us and we will post it for you.

7. Make sure your photo is resized to 600 x 400 pixels before you upload. You can do so with a simple photo editor like infraview which you can download here

8. Your post will be saved as a draft pending further review by our editors before it is published shortly. We try as far as possible to publish our readers’ post unedited in its original form. Please read the house rules under our terms and services to find out more.
